Meet Lauren
Founder and Shalom Life Coach
Lauren Blake is a radiant woman who sets her gaze upon the magnificent Trinity. Her deep roots in His character continue to set her free from fear, shame, discouragement, comparison, self-pity, and loneliness.
She is grateful and humbled to have been discipled by wise, humble, and passionate lovers of God. She has B.A. in Christian Education and Ministry and M. A. Spiritual Formation and Evangelism, both from Wheaton College. She been in leadership in various ministry positions over the past 25 years in Christian and Messianic Jewish ministry.
She has seen God’s beauty, goodness, and faithfulness in each season of her life: single, widow, and remarried ... and through sickness, health, death, and new life.
She desires to encourage and equip others to live an intimate, intentional, impactful, and Spirit-led life. Lauren is a kingdom builder who desires to bring His Kingdom from heaven to earth. She is compassionate, joyful, and deep. She will weep with you, rejoice with you, and inspire you to go deeper in every area of your life. She asks and leans on the Holy Spirit for insights and wisdom to put into practice and to share with others.
In January 2020, she was asking the Lord for direction for the next season of her life. She has walked in various roles in previous seasons: tennis coach, graduate assistant, inner-city Chicago second-grade teacher, church planter, pastor’s wife, home school mom, and pastoral care staff at a holistic healing center. She felt the Lord highlight life coaching and gave her the name Shalom Strategies. Shalom means so much more than peace... it means wholeness. The Hebrew letters of shalom communicate “to destroy the authority attached to chaos.”
As she continued to pray, she felt He revealed a model using a tree rather than a pie chart. She sensed Him saying something like, “Root them in who I am. Help them discover who I uniquely created them to be so that they can bring My kingdom and the fruit of My Spirit into all the other areas in their life.”
Living from this model, Lauren loves connecting others to the many facets of God as Creator, Savior, Father, Friend, Comforter, Bridegroom, King, Judge, and Lion of the Tribe of Judah to name a few. She believes that as we behold Him, we become more like Him, and it transforms our motives and actions to affect every sphere of our lives.
She loves to travel and has lived in many places. Presently she lives in Saint Augustine, Florida with her husband and kids

Healing Prayer Ministry
Shalom Strategies is a D. B. A (Doing Business As) under the Healing Prayer 501c3 ministry.
Marie Lebow, founded Healing Prayer Ministry in 2008 and is a trusted friend and mentor to Lauren for over 18 years.
Bailey, the other board member, continues to be in a mentoring relationship by Lauren for over 13 years and is now training to be a Shalom Life coach. She has become one of Lauren's dearest friends.
Shalom Strategies Life Coaching desires to offer affordable life coaching and train new Shalom Life coaches, part of how we do that is through donations.
